Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Roscoe Sanders Jr.
Senior Pastor, Northside Church of God – Springfield, Georgia
Pastor Roscoe Sanders Jr., a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, surrendered his life to Christ in his early twenties. In 2001, he and his family relocated to Georgia, where he quickly became active in ministry at Northside Church of God, faithfully serving as a deacon from 2002 to 2004.
In 2005, Pastor Sanders was licensed to preach under the leadership of Pastor Reginald Anderson Sr. and soon after was appointed as Outreach Committee Chair for the Southern District of Georgia. His formal ministry education and credentials were earned through the In Service Training Institute (2006–2008), and on March 19, 2011, he was officially ordained in the Church of God.
With a deep passion for advancing God’s Kingdom, Pastor Sanders founded New Community Church of God in Rincon, Georgia, in 2010, where he faithfully led for four years. Following a period of illness, he prayerfully transitioned out of that role but continued to serve the body of Christ in various ministry capacities. In 2019, he returned to pastoral leadership as an interim pastor, and in 2022, he was appointed Senior Pastor of Northside Church of God, where he continues to lead with vision, compassion, and a heart for God’s people.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Sanders serves as Vice Chairman of the Southern District and as a member of the Georgia Fellowship Board of Elders. He is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation and helping individuals discover purpose, faith, and direction in Christ.
Pastor Sanders and his wife, Lady Janice Sanders, have been joyfully married for over 30 years. They are the proud parents of four children—Rahmaun, Essence, Levi, and Kye—and the delighted grandparents of five beautiful grandchildren.
Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Sanders enjoys traveling, watching science fiction movies, and spending quality time with his family. Above all, he is a devoted teacher of the Word who loves God deeply and serves His people faithfully.
